EFQM is a not for profit membership foundation and is a primary source for organisations in Europe looking to excel in their market and in their businesses. EFQM are the creators of the EFQM excellence model and the European quality awards founded in 1989 by the CEO's of prominent European businesses. EFQM is now the hub of excellent, globally minded organisations of all sizes and sectors, both private and public. EIQA are the Licensed partners for EFQM in Ireland
What are the EFQM levels of Excellence Certification/recognition?
Committed to Excellence
Committed to Excellence level is designed for organisations, or organisational units, that are at the beginning of their journey to Excellence. For these organisations, the emphasis is on creating passion and commitment amongst internal stakeholders, in order to generate the necessary momentum to start improvement activities. Committed to Excellence provides a practical and simple way to experience the benefits of the EFQM Excellence Model and RADAR assessment logic. This programme is project based and roughly takes between 3 to 6 months.
Recognised for Excellence
Recognised for Excellence is designed for organisations that are well on their way to organisational excellence. These organisations, or organisational units, have experience in implementing Excellence concepts and Management Frameworks. It recognises the successful efforts they have made to implement excellence and good practice. For applicant organisations, it offers the benefits of a structured approach to identifying organisational strengths and areas for improvement from an external point of view.
EIQA assessors use the RADAR scoring methodology to assess organisations. The RADAR methodology includes the following elements:
